I Love Music! All kinds of Music pretty much. I do like some rap, but most I dont (I was a BIG Tupak fan).   Anyhow. . . I think music may be mankind's best discovery.   Regardless of what race you are, what country your from, it always brings us closer together regardless!

Our creations of music contain all of our hopes, dreams, losses, loves, hates, accomplishments, goals, successes, & failures.

Anyhow, if your religious (Sorry but I'm not, I don't believe in a higher power unless were talking aliens here. . I just LOVE History!), then you may find this interesting. . . The name "Lucifer" is mentioned only once in the Bible.

Any other mention is with other names, such as Satan, Devil, or Dragon. Yet, all readers and believers, and many non-believers, think of Lucifer as a fallen angel who turned against God and paid for it by being banished from heaven.

Other similar stories are told in the Bible, connecting Lucifer as the being that has forever plagued the world with evil. It is the description of this evil that makes one ask if Lucifer was the angel of music, and is he the reason music is considered evil and corrupting?

Isaiah 14:12-16 mentions Lucifer by name and tells his story: "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides to the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds: I will be like the Most High."

Later, in Ezekial, the story is repeated, with God speaking all that he will do to the one who opposes him. This being is again Lucifer, and the reader is given a specific physical description of Lucifer that makes one see him as the angel we believe him to be. Ezekial 28:14 says, "Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth", meaning he is the angel that protects God. Ezekial 28:17 reads, "Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty: thou has corrupted thy wisdom by reason of they brightness", tells the reader that Lucifer was a beautiful angel with a large, vain, ego.

However, it is Ezekial 28:13 that makes one question Lucifer's connection with music: "The workmanship of they tabrets and of they pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created." So, Lucifer was a beautiful angel covered in musical instruments so he could sing the praises of God. But, Lucifer denied God and became Satan, the evil that plagues us and tempts us.

Now, let us look at music as we know it. We hear everyday how some musician has written a piece of music that offends. Whether it is demeaning women as sex objects, talking about murder and killing cops, or about having affairs and lying to the one they are with. It is often believed that these songs influence the listener.

Often we see children dressed like their favorite singer or rapper, wanting to be like them. It is on the news daily of some performance that is too vulgar, that disses our country, or dresses up a young teenage girl like a sex kitten. And we watch intently, intrigued by what we see and sometimes a little bit envious.

Is it Lucifer's influence on music that causes these reactions to it? Does music constantly cross the line of what is acceptable because Lucifer wills it? Songs are supposed to be about praise and joy, but not all of them are. Do we blame Satan, or are we just weak as human beings? It is often said that music can heal as well. Do we choose, based on our own strength, what music will do for us? Is it heaven and hell fighting for us to make that decision on our own?

All we can know for sure is that music is powerful.
